Brilliant purple color. Perfumed, cassis-dominated nose with an extra layer of oiled leather. In feel, very similar to a top Bordeaux, with cassis and dark cherry flavors, a rich and evolving attack, and youthful dusty tannins in the finish. Outstanding with beef. - HK 2002-12-25
