I like the ripe-feeling texture of this wine, along with the balance and sense of life the wine shows in the mouth. However, as I found also in a recent tasting of the 2009 Alamos Malbec, the fruit intensity (banana, pear, apple, caramel) is relatively weak and unexciting. Pleasant enough, but nothing to go out of your way for. - HK 2010-08-10
