An OK Cru Beaujolais, but not much more. Fairly forward nose of dark raspberry, earth, and floral notes - somewhat like a red Burgundy. In the mouth, much more constrained, slightly tart and a bit dull, with a Scotch whiskey-like earthy note coming forward. Bright and straightforward wine, easy to quaff. Definitely better slightly chilled to give it some energy. - HK 2018-01-01
