Not a profound Chardonnay, but a tasty and refreshing one. It's still fresh as a daisy, but I wouldn't press my luck on this, and recommend drinking within the next year. This wine is crisp, yet has plenty of fruit to balance the acids. Lemon meringue, vanilla, butter, and sweet spices are found in the aromatics. Medium bodied, clean though not especially long finish. The bottle tasted was from a case purchased at the winery during a half-off sale for about $11 per bottle, a super deal for a wine of this quality. At $20, it's an OK if not exceptional buy. - HK 2002-07-12
