Elegant Pinot Noir nose of herbed raspberries, plums. Has a bit of that ethereal, undefinable perfume found in good Burgundies, and that makes it worth the price even if the flavors don't quite live up to the nose. In the mouth it struck us that this wine was sbout two years past its peak and slightly disjointed, particularly compared to the usual Dehlinger warm and mouth-coating style. The Goldridge Pinot Noir is a delicious wine made to be drunk fairly young, and earlier bottles of this wine were a point or two up the scale. - HK 2000-07-10
