Nicely concentrated Chardonnay, from a vineyard on Vine Hill Road near the winery. The wine is not over-oaked or overly-alcoholic, but displays a rich texture, broad-scaled flavors, and impressive complexity. The wine possesses good density and length and intriguing flavors of ripe banana, pear liqueur, nutmeg, vanilla, and hints of toast and botrytis-like honey. There is a unified feel to it, with good overall balance of fruit, acid and oak. - HK 2007-11-13
