A most pleasant surprise, this Grand Cru Saint-Emilion lived up to its classification and was astonishingly drinkable for such a young age. It will perhaps close up again, but in this tasting it came across as wonderfully forward, rich and round, with full, spicy dark berry and currant fruit and enticing subtle fruit and floral aromas. Definitely some tannic kick in the finish but rounded and not bitter. Fairly priced for a Bordeaux of this quality. - WB Team 2005-10-23
