This is a spectacular Chardonnay, and one that I preferred to the more expensive single-vineyard Chardonnays (of earlier vintages) tasted during a recent visit to Hartford Court. This is easily the best Four Hearts I've ever tasted. Crystalline pure, ethereally graceful in feel, and extremely elegant overall, it is also full of palate-coating flavor and length. Complex flavors suggest orange blossom, tangerine, peach, and apricot, accompanied by tasty notes of vanilla and sweet spices and a definite saline/mineral edge in the finish. Beautifully balanced and harmonious wine. 2011 is looking to be a great year for Sonoma Coast and Russian River Chardonnays. - HK 2013-06-20
