This has developed magnificently over the past two years or so, and now resembles a top-notch Cote de Nuits Burgundy. Gorgeous, cool-climate personality, originating from grapes in the "true" Sonoma Coast area in far northwest Sonoma County near Annapolis. Envelops the nose in complex savory, spicy, and earthy sandalwood notes on top of a deep dark charcoal/black fruit core. Round and beautifully textured and lingering in the mouth and finish. Muscular yet smooth and mouth-coating, drinking really well at age 5. - HK 2017-10-01
