This delicious, pure Chardonnay sparkling wine spent 7 years on the yeast, and it shows in the full, yeasty flavors. Fairly rich for a sparkling wine, with some nice butterscotch and citrus notes. No sharp edges, but not quite as fresh and penetrating, in our opinion, as some of the other excellent Iron Horse sparklers. But they're all so good that this is not really a criticism, just a matter of taste. - HK 2001-12-13
