A clear winner over the 2010 Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay (not always the case in all vintages), though the 2010 Grand Reserve is itself a couple of steps behind the excellent '09. When first opened, lots of mineral and honeydew melon notes, almost like a Sauvignon Blanc, but in the mouth (and as the temperature rises) more classic Chardonnay notes appear - peach, Meyer lemon, subtle spices. Restrained, crisp, nicely made, and like virtually all K-J wines, a bargain. - HK 2012-11-02
