Tasted with the '91 and '95 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabs, the Lynch Bages held its own well, and was preferred by at least half the group. It struck us as a year or two from fully opening up in terms of its aroma profile, but was still very drinkable. Lots of leafy cassis fruit with a strong tobacco component. Medium bodied, well balanced, with a good finish. Not the best Lynch Bages we've tried, but an awfully good wine. If only wines like this were affordable! - WB Team 2000-11-15
