I was impressed with this Oregon Pinot. Very Beaune-like, with a pure, classic Pinot Noir nose of red cherries, spice, vanilla, and rose petal. Developed nicely after opening. Possesses a Burgundian texture and soft tannin. Graceful yet full-flavored, a combination not often found in California Pinots Noirs. My only hesitation is that the second bottle sampled seemed somewhat fragile and drier in the mouth, so I'd be inclined to drink up in the next year or two. - HK 2003-01-31
