Just out of the refrigerator, this lovely light plum-colored wine, a field blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with just a touch of Sauvignon Blanc, dispays a crisp feel and tart cherry/strawberry fruit. When warmed up even slightly, though, the mouth-feel softens, the flavors broaden considerably, and the Cabernet shows through nicely in the slightly weedy, herbal notes merged with the tasty red fruits. This is a really nice food wine and, especially if not served too cold, it has the poop to stand up to flavorful foods such as a Thanksgiving spread. (That's our plan with the next bottle.) Unlike some other white wines or rosÚs, it avoids any sense of clumsiness and maintains its structure and authority nicely as it warms up. - HK 2008-11-14
