I know the winemakers think this is one of the best vintages ever for the Robert Young Chardonnay, and it's showing exceedingly well even before its usual 3 - 5 year peaking window. So this could be truly memorable before it's all finished. But for now I still find it not quite as satisfying as the 2011. Unusually rich in the mouth, it has lovely ripe peach and tropical fruit and some floral perfume, along with vanilla and subtle spicy oak. Fresh and bracing feel to this wine, which will only get better over the next few years. - HK 2014-05-21
