Velvety and delicious wine, though it lacks the extraction and depth of our favorite Zins made from older vines. Super-ripe plums, strawberries, red licorice, and oaky spices highlight the nose and flavors of this wine, which has something of the nature of a turbo-charged Beaujolais. Very tasty, but pricey for the extraction level. - WB team 2003-03-04
