Call us shallow, but we LOVE wines like this, and this one from Lodi is a tremendous bargain to boot. Utterly opaque, inky color, big, brawny, in-your-face flavors of blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, and orange peel. Huge mouth feel, teeth-staining extraction. I suppose if we were objective we might admit this one is a bit uncouth at this age, and we're totally unsure of how it will age. Our solution: don't let it. Great buy. One bottle of this and you can skip your testosterone pills for a week. - WB Team 2003-04-16
