Similar to the 2001, except with even more alcoholic punch. Utterly opaque, black-purple wine with a density just shy of that at the center of a neutron star. A bit harsh in the mouth at first, but opened up to show deep dark berry and vanilla flavors and tooth-staining density. Lots of oak nicely integrated into this hugely (overly?) alcoholic Petite Sirah, which at this point we find marginally less compelling than the 2001. - WB Team 2004-07-23
