We have had limited experience with Regnie's; this is probably not one of the best. This old-vines wine had some pleasant red raspberry and cherry liqueur aromas and flavors, but none of the nose-tweaking, penetrating fruit and balance that we love in good Beaujolais. It was certainly drunk too young by a year or so, but we don't feel that age will take away the somewhat insipid mouth feel and tart finish. An OK Beaujolais, but not worth going out of your way for. - HK 2000-09-13
