This is an excellent Syrah, fully open and enjoyable at age 7. Fairly rich mouth feel, smooth and soft, but a tad lacking in grip and depth compared to the 2006 tried a year or so ago. Aromas and flavors almost like a Bordeaux - dark berries, black plums (almost prunes), black currants, slight floral nuances, smoky spice. Nicely balanced, no sign of decline, but I'd drink this one sooner rather than later. - HK 2016-03-01
