My guess is that this Sangiovese would have had a bit more oomph two or so years ago. At age 7 it's fully mature, but to my taste also slightly lacking in grip and concentration. Flavorful, fairly uncomplicated red berry fruit, soft and balanced in the mouth and finish. Very easy going down, but not surprisingly, it's a mere shadow of the outstanding Sangiovese that Seghesio makes from their Rattlesnake Hill vineyard called "Venom." - HK 2016-02-19
