Utterly compelling, ethereally great wine, one of the very best Chardonnays I have ever tasted from anywhere. Virtually perfect in texture, weight, balance, flavor, freshness, tension, complexity, finish. Light on its feet but with terrific authority and intensity. Every sip brought out a nuance - to name a few, lemon zest, spring flowers, stone fruits, nutmeg. Wonderful gravelly mineral edge too. This wine is edging into the unaffordable range (most recent vintage was $125), but at this level of quality it's worth splurging on for a special occasion. It is a wine that ages magnificently, and I wouldn't open one at less than 5 - 6 years of age. - HK 2021-02-11
