The '09 Villars has classic Bordeaux flavor and personality, and has developed significantly in the last year or so. My original hesitation about its austerity are pretty much gone, though I still have to say the original bottle I tried a year ago had some troubling dusty, musty notes to it that the current bottle did not display at all. Fruits lean toward dark currants as well as blackberry and dark plum, with definite nuances of underbrush and dried herbs. At $15.99 per bottle, this was an incredible Bordeaux buy, fortunately obtained before Premier Cru went belly-up. - HK 2016-07-24
