This wine is not a bargain at its $40+ price point, but on the other hand it's one of the best "generic" Russian River Pinot Noirs I've ever had. It's also another example of how good the 2007 vintage was in the area. Medium plum in color, exceptionally silky and elegant in feel, with splendid aromas and flavors suggesting perfumed cherry, plum, red raspberry, and candied red fruits, along with charcoal and cola. Ready to drink right now as the tannins are round and fine and there are no hard edges to be found. - HK 2010-04-15
