Disappointing. I used to think of this as something of a go-to cheapie, with good fruit and texture. This incarnation I found vapid, green, slightly vegetal, and uninteresting. Nothing really off here - and for the price I know there should be no complaints - but there's nothing to recommend it either. Insipid medicinal cherry fruit, no varietal character that I could detect. OK for a barbecue swilling wine or for cooking. I don't know what's happened to this wine over the past 5 years or so, but it's not good. - HK 2014-02-20
