Purchased as a Robert Parker "best buy", and it certainly is. Extremely forward, rich wine with a mouth feel uncannily like a Zinfandel. But the flavors are unusual compared to the usual Cab/Merlot/Zin/Pinot lineup, which made it controversial in our tasting group. Lots of tobacco, plus flavors of currant and/or blueberry fruit, oak, and grilled tomato. Complex, long, delicious, a lot of fun to drink, and a bargain.
