Tasting Notes

Drinking a Silver Oak the other evening with a fellow Bork reminded me that I haven't had enough Cabernets lately. This wine reinforced that. The nose is spicy with hints of plum, pepper, and fermenting warm grass clippings. The wine is a bargain and a real pleasure to drink; it's nicely balanced with spices, tannins, oak, and very subtle vanilla. It's very drinkable now and paired exceptionally with New Year's Eve prime rib.
