Tasting Notes

This is a very good Charonnay, though it's probably unavailable by now. The best sub-$10 Chardonnay I've tasted in a long time, the 2002 Argyle is rich without heaviness, and has great flavors, texture, and purity. Baked apple and citrus aromas, crisp but rich mouth feel, excellent balance, long and clean finish. Not the remotest hint of the clumsy qualities common in its price range. And I like its convenient screw top. It reminded me of a good French Macon and is a great food wine.
