This wine, from one of California's best vineyards, did not excite any of the tasting group, and ratings ran as low as 82 from one taster. The nose of this wine is dominated by powerful dark chocolate, and also has some good spice, vanilla, and dark cherry. But it seemed not very intriguing or complex in either the nose or mouth, and the finish was adequate but not particularly long. The price is beyond the pale.
