At this stage the 2000 Artadi Rioja strikes me as more classically structured, richer, and more flavorful than the 1999, though both are excellent. Silky texture not unlike an excellent rich Pinot Noir. Nose and flavors of ripe cherry, red currants, plum, smoke, and tar. Excellent balance and finish.
