This has become one of my favorite Cotes du Rhones, and it's a bargain too. Extremely rich and ripe, with 14.5% alcohol to warm the innards. Earthy red fruit and freshly-ground black pepper aromas with some attractive floral touches; deep, forward fruit flavors; chewy feel in the mouth and overall classy structure. Drinks well now, will easily keep a few more years.
