Elegant, full cherry/berry flavors highlight this excellent Pinot blended from Russian Hill's estate vineyards. Spicy vanilla notes and an attractive sappy/herbal (rosemary?) edge add to the complexity. Much more structured and briary and less floral and silky at this stage compared to the delicious 2007 Russian River bottling; also considerably more tannic. The tannins show a slight bitterness in the mouth and finish.
