This character-filled Chardonnay has a tangy feel in the mouth and a full-flavored mix of fruits and spices. Initial impression is almost like apple cider, then a complex melange of clove/cinnamon-spiced peaches, butterscotch, yeast, and lemon rind notes appear. Complex and fun wine, but one that, to may taste, has hit its age limit. At this point I slightly prefer the excellent and more conventional tasting 2009 Bjornstad Sonoma bottling. - HK 2013-06-11
