I feared it might be infanticide to open this just-released Zin (and of course it was), but its layers of Zin fruit dominate any youthful indiscretions this wine might have. Complex, fruit-forward, ever-evolving nose. Mouthwatering, concentrated dark berry and blueberry fruit flavors touched with sweet spices. Admirable sense of authority and grip in the mouth and finish. Despite its youth, I felt not a hint of its 15% alcohol. - HK 2017-12-02
