This is an unusual, in-your-face Cabernet that would be controversial in most Cabophile circles. Big, tannic wine that has some nice dark currant fruit along with over-ripe plums, sweet oak, sage, and mint. More Zin- than Cabernet-like to most tasters, but is that necessarily bad? Wide range of rankings among the tasters as the appeal of this powerhouse is a matter of taste. Fun wine. - WB team 2003-02-07
