I loved the 1999 vintage of this wine, and this one seems equally good. Still younthful with promise for further development. Deep ruby purple color to the rim. Aromas display a complex mix of strawberry, dark currants, mint, smoke, and new leather. In the mouth, the wine is more elegant than powerful, but has wonderful ripeness, a fairly chewy texture and lots of blackberry, cassis, and roasted herbs. - HK 2006-11-27
