From a tiny producer and probably not distributed in the U.S., this Beaune Premier Cru, from a vineyard more often associated with whites, is elegantly styled as well as delicious. Medium-bodied, with super-fine tannins giving structure and grip in the mouth. Lovey perfume and flavors of Pinot fruit - cherry, strawberry - with a nice touch of earthiness/toffee and subdued spiciness. Smooth and refined feel from beginning to end. - HK 2017-06-04
