Superlative Pinot that I rank only a tad behind the brilliant 2009 Dutton-Goldfield Freestone Hill Vineyard. Very intense and youthful, with complex and ever-evolving bright fuit notes highlighted by dark cherry, red raspberry, anise, charcoal, pine resin, and dried flowers. Beautifully balanced in all its components. It's a tad criminal to drink this wine so young, but it is altogether scrumptious even at age three and is sure to evolve into an even more brilliant wine over time. - HK 2012-08-18
