I don't frequently think of Zins as elegant wines, but the D-G Morelli Lane Zinfandel always seems to fit that description. Drinking beautifully right out of the gate, the 2010 version is showing bright and energetic red raspberry, cranberry, dark cherry, and creamy vanilla notes with an almost Pinot-like velvety texture. Low in alcohol by Zin standards, it has a rich texture yet is not overly weighty in the mouth. - HK 2012-10-13
