This Greenwood Ridge Riesling is full of rich, tangy tropical fruits with hints of orange marmalade and white flowers. Its acid balance gives the wine some zing and keeps its sweetness in check. The wine is off-dry (1.7% residual sugar), and it serves as an excellent apertif while also pairing excellently with food - especially spicy food. Lacks the ethereal elegance and laser focus of the better German Rieslings, but I haven't had many better Rieslings from the U.S. Fairly priced, too. - HK 2016-03-10
