| 2006 Hartford Court Pinot Noir Lands Edge Sonoma Coast, California WB Rating: 87 Alcohol by volume: 14.4% Price at time of purchase: $40.00 (Winery) Type: Pinot Noir / Burgundy Principal varietal(s): Pinot Noir A blend of several Sonoma Coast vineyards, the 2006 Land's Edge lacks the depth of the better Hartford Court Pinot's, though it's a most pleasant Pinot that's fully mature and still nicely structured. Plum-colored with some transparency at the edge, Burgundian in weight, feel, and flavor. Soft cherry and pomegranate fruit with a touch of violets and strawberries. Not a blockbuster, but extremely enjoyable to drink at this point - though I'd be inclined to drink within the next year or two. - HK 2012-09-11 [Back] |
