This wine strikes me as a year or so from softening and opening fully. As always, it's a rich, ripe, clean, bracing mouthful of Chardonnay, which at this stage is dominated by sweet spices, vanilla, and butterscotch, with nice lemon-curd notes. Not quite as showy as the 2009 or 2008, but it is still excellent, and well-priced for the quality level. - HK 2012-07-09
