| 2000 Landmark Pinot Noir "Young Vines" Sonoma County, California WB Rating: 84 Alcohol by volume: 13.7% Price at time of purchase: $12.50 (from winery) Type: Pinot Noir / Burgundy Principal varietal(s): Pinot Noir Good buy for $12.50, purchased half-off at the winery. This wine is made from vines as young as 3 years, but displays a forward ripe plum, cherry and floral nose, and fairly full if straightforward fruit-dominated flavors. On the down-side, has the slightly green feel of a young-vine wine and is slightly compressed in the finish. But good varietal purity and a tasty, rewarding Pinot. - HK 2003-06-17 [Back] |
