| 2011 Lattanzio Pinot Noir Umino Vineyard Sonoma Coast, California WB Rating: 82 Alcohol by volume: 13.5% Price at time of purchase: $32.00 (Vinoteca, Santa Rosa) Type: Rhone-style White Principal varietal(s): Pinot Noir From a well-regarded vineyard south of Sebastopol, this is a straight-ahead Pinot without a lot of energy or focus. Nice earthy nose of maraschino cherry and wood resin, but bland and washed-out by comparison in the mouth. Certainly drinkable and pleasant in a generic sort of way, but you can do a lot better in this price range. - HK 2015-03-27 [Back] |
