Rich black cherry and blackberry fruit with a hint of violets in the nose like a top Cabernet Franc, as well as a healthy dose of spice. Beautifully integrated oak gives a bit of a vanilla component. The wine has a velvety mouth feel, though the excellent finish still has a lot of rounded tannins, promising good things in the future.
