This wine has a forward nose of spicy dark berry and blueberry fruit, vanilla, chocolate, and flowers, with a characteristic roasted-meat-like earthiness. Full flavored, with a tasty fruit and bitter-chocolate-tinged finish. Only a bit of weakness in the midrange (which could fill out with time) keeps this wine from an even higher rating.
