| 2008 Chateau du Moulin Rouge Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux, France WB Rating: 87 Alcohol by volume: 13.0% Price at time of purchase: $15.74 (Joe Canal's, Lawrenceville NJ) Type: Cabernet / Bordeaux Principal varietal(s): 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet, 10% Cab Franc Fragrant cedar, dark cherry aromas with notes of smoke and tobacco. Nicely textured with no rough edges or intrusive tannin, good mouth feel and persistence. Not profound, but the kind of low-alcohol, medium-bodied, flavorful, interesting wine that Bordeaux routinely produces that you can drink night after night without palate fatigue. - HK 2012-05-21 [Back] |
