| 2000 Rosenblum Petite Sirah Pickett Road Napa Valley, California WB Rating: 89 Alcohol by volume: 14.8% Price at time of purchase: $22.00 (from winery) Type: Petite Sirah Principal varietal(s): 96% Petite Sirah, 4% Carignane Definitely a notch or two up from the also delicious '99 Pickett Road. This wine struck as much more compelling, and well-priced for the quality level. Lots going on in the nose, which is dominated by spicy ripe crushed blackberries and black raspberries along with a heavy dose of black pepper. Mouth-filling and rewarding flavors, rich finish. The label indicates aging potential beyond ten years, but we'd recommend chewing into this beauty during its flamboyand youth. - WB Team 2003-03-04 [Back] |
