This is the second vintage of this wine that we have reviewed. It is an interesting and intense wine with definite appeal for Zin lovers, though it was controversial in our tasting group because of its nearly over-ripe character and earthy (some said funky) undertones. Forward, coffee liqueur flavors dominate the palate, with bittersweet chocolate and plum/prune fruit. Fun to drink and a good bargain to boot! - WB team 2003-09-04
