| 2002 Rosenblum Petite Sirah Pickett Road Napa Valley, California WB Rating: 89 Alcohol by volume: 14.6% Price at time of purchase: $24.00 (from winery) Type: Petite Sirah Principal varietal(s): 96% Petite Sirah, 4% Carignane This well-priced Petite Sirah seems to get better each year. Rosenblum must have a side business in India ink because this is another absolutely opaque wine. Appealingly chewy mouth texture. Deep blackberry fruit with a spicy floral edge and excellent spiciness. I suppose this wine will age well, but there's no way one would last in our cellar more than a year. It's delicious right now. - WB Team 2004-04-16 [Back] |
